After Colbert’s scorched-earth performance at last year’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner, the producers decided to go in a different direction…a less political, less confrontational, less humor-based direction. The comedy guest was none other than supposed world-class impressionist Rich Little. For those of you under 107, Little does famous people’s voices. Unfortunately, if this performance is evidence, most of them sound just like Rich Little. But give the man his due, he rhymes “poke a little fun” with Washhhington” in a ditty that makes Mark Russell seem punk rock. Still, it’s worth it just to watch the looks on the faces in the crowd. State funerals get bigger laughs. (For the masochistic, there’s a 30 minute version out there.) The only unanswered question, who invited Reggie Bush? (by Patrick Sauer) Running Time: 3:15
