"If Paul Newman's drinking a case of beer a day, count me in." Dave starts off his touching tribute with a joke, then tells an awesome story about two cars Paul Newman had built, one each for he and Dave. They were Volvo station wagons stripped bare, retrofitted with a small-block V8 racing engine that could do 170 mph, which helped it catch fire on the Merritt Parkway. Dave ends with a video that includes a moped Butch Cassidy re-creation, Newman floating up in a sea of balloons and of course, his immortal words on Letterman's first-ever CBS broadcast, "Where the hell..."
