The Daily Tube review
Last Friday, John McCain and Barack Obama met in Oxford, Mississippi for the first of three presidential debates. Contrary to whatever your friends might say, neither candidate definitively came out on top. Though, the 97-minute event did reveal the candidates' differing viewpoints on subjects like foreign policy (read: the Iraq war). During the opening, moderator Jim Lehrer asked McCain and Obama about the economy. Both agreed a financial rescue package was needed. "But I want to emphasize one point to all Americans tonight," said McCain. "This isn't the beginning of the end of this crisis. This is the end of the beginning." Got that?
